JORDAN Rahman and Jake Andrews of Penarth ABC both boxed on the Llanharan ABC show at Llanharan Rugby Club on April 17.

First up was a rematch between Jordan and R Johnson who had boxed in Cogan Leisure Centre last November. Johnson came out a narrow winner so the stage was set for an explosive rematch.

Neil Munn, Jordan's coach, knew Johnson was a talented and strong boxer, so he told Jordan he had to go out there and break him down.

The bell went for the first round and Jordan set about his task like an old pro, and the first round was even.

Coming to the end of the second round Neil could see Johnson was weakening, but it was still an even round.

Jordan was told in the break his tactics were working and he needed to start the last round like he had started the first.

The final round of this tense match had the crowd on the edge of their seats.

Johnson was starting to suffer and was given two standing counts. After the second standing count, the ref stopped the fight.

Jake Andrews then fought D Bradbury of Rhoose ABC.

Bradbury was a strong fighter, but unfortunately too strong for his own good, and kept running at Jake like a charging bull straight into Jake's punches.

After three very hard fought rounds, Jake won a majority decision.
