Kostya Tszyu

Born in Serov, Russia on September 19, 1969, Konstantin Borisovich Tszyu, more commonly known as Kostya Tszyu. Kostya is of mixed Russian, Korean and Mongol descent which appears to have helped make him one tough little fighter. Kostya holds both Russian and Australian citizenship and is a four time World Junior Welterwight Champion, including a period of time as the undisputed Junior Welterweight Champion.

The son of a fitter in a metal factory and a nurse, Tszyu was born in Serov, a town near the Ural Mountains in, what was, the Soviet Union. Kostya was the first boxer to unify the Junior Welterweight Division in over 30 years. He lost his title(s) to Ricky Hatton on June 5, 2005. However, he will remain, in my opinion, one of the gutsy and exciting boxers of all time. He is passionate about boxing and is still actively involved in the sport.
